A letter will be written to the IMF by the Founder of PTI against corruption. They will tell the IMF that before lending, an audit of corruption must be conducted, as lending without an audit will be detrimental to Pakistan. This was stated by PTI Senator Ali Zafar in a conversation with the media in Rawalpindi, accompanied by PTI leader Senator Gohar Ali Khan.
Founder of PTI Pens Scathing Letter Against IMF’s Actions
Ali Zafar, a central figure of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, said that a letter will be written to the IMF by the Founder of PTI against corruption. They will tell the IMF that before lending, an audit of corruption must be conducted, as lending without an audit will be detrimental to Pakistan.Speaking to the media in Rawalpindi with PTI leader Senator Gohar Ali Khan, Ali Zafar said that today our leaders came to meet the founder of PTI but they were not allowed to meet despite the court order. It is essential that a meeting with the founder of PTI, who is a political leader, should take place; otherwise, democratic processes will not function. We need to discuss government formation with the founder of PTI.
He said, “Today, I want to give you very important information. A letter will be issued to the IMF by Imran Khan. The IMF and the European Union have their own mandate and charter. The charter states that the country will be lent money only when there is good governance in the country. Good governance exists where there is democracy in the country. International institutions should not work where there is no democracy. The pillar of democracy is transparent elections, but the whole world saw that people’s votes were stolen in the darkness of night. Our winning candidates were defeated, and the defeated people were made to win. If the elections are not transparent, then the institution, when it sees that there has been theft, cannot lend to that country because the crises of the country will remain unresolved without a mandated government. Therefore, a letter will be written to the IMF by Imran Khan to conduct an audit of corruption first. An independent audit team under the supervision of the Supreme Court of Pakistan should investigate corruption and issue notification of winning candidates, then the IMF should negotiate with the government. Because lending without an audit will be detrimental to Pakistan.”
