During the meeting, it was revealed that the installation of CCTV cameras at polling stations is underway, and this task will be completed by February 6. On this occasion, Punjab’s Chief Minister instructed that the transmission of ballot papers and related materials be ensured by February 5 and 6. He emphasized that the installation of cameras at polling stations should be completed before February 6.

He stated that arrangements should be made to ensure uninterrupted electricity and internet services at polling stations. For the transparency of election results and media facilitation, smart media facilities should be installed outside each polling station. The Chief Minister urged effective communication with relevant authorities in order to carry out all polling processes with transparency and courtesy.

On the other hand, the Balochistan government imposed restrictions on gatherings and election meetings in Quetta. Provincial Information Minister Jan Achakzai informed that there is a threat alert regarding the presence of a female suicide bomber in Quetta. In view of this threat alert, restrictions have been imposed on public gatherings and election meetings. He further stated that all political parties and candidates are urged to conduct their election meetings within the confines of their homes. While recognizing the importance of Balochistan’s provincial electoral campaign in the context of general elections, the safety of the public remains our top priority during this period.
