Saudi Arabia’s 22-year-old rock star and young artist SOVL Music is bringing a fresh style to the music scene. According to Arab News, as the music landscape evolves in the kingdom, from psychedelic rock to electronic dance, innovations are emerging.
SOVL is a self-made independent musician who was on a quest to create a high-quality album that reflected his artistry. The Saudi musician has created an alternative, modern blend of indie rock and Andi rock, rooted in guitar music.

He explained that as an independent musician, he strives to make the most of what he has. The Saudi rock star debuted his first album, ‘Too Much Is Not Enough,’ in December 2023, stepping into the world of music as a producer, songwriter, and vocalist.
He mentioned that his songs become a canvas where listeners can imprint their own emotions. The music star said that when he first put his hands on an electric guitar in 2019, he was adopting a different approach to playing and learning it.
Initially, he started by learning some basic things about the guitar on music platforms, which became his capital. Using Logic Pro software, he began recording his initial music experiments before eventually recording them in a garage band. The rock artist launched his first song, ‘What’s Going On?’ in 2021, marking his formal entry into the local music scene.
His freshness in voice takes listeners back to the rock music of the 70s, which has sustained his music. The Saudi artist also endeavors to incorporate an Arab style into his music, evident in some of his songs. The musician believes firmly that they can conceive and record music f rom their bedrooms and present their art exactly as they envision it.
