Pakistan cricket team’s former batsman Nasir Jamshed has asked for forgiveness for his involvement in spot-fixing. Jamshed confessed to his mistake of tarnishing his career in a post on the social media website, Twitter, on Sunday and sought forgiveness.

In his post, Nasir Jamshed also shared a video in which he is seen coaching his daughter in cricket practice. He wrote in his post, “I cannot forgive myself for what I did to my career, and I seek forgiveness for it. But I will try to transfer my talent to my daughter and provide her with the best opportunities.”

Nasir Jamshed had been banned for ten years for his involvement in spot-fixing in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) and the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). He had also served a 17-month sentence in the UK for his role in corrupting cricket. Nasir Jamshed made his debut for the Pakistan team in a One Day International (ODI) match against Zimbabwe played in Karachi in 2008. He played two Tests, 48 ODIs, and 18 T20 matches for Pakistan, scoring 51, 1418, and 363 runs respectively.
