New Zealand to tour Pakistan for five T20Is in April: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially announced that New Zealand will tour Pakistan for a series of five T20I matches in April.
The New Zealand team is scheduled to arrive in Islamabad on April 14 hopefully, and the series will kick off with three matches in Rawalpindi from April 18 to 21 after that location is changed. Following this, the action will shift to the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore for playing the next matches, where two more matches will be played on April 25 and 27 date.

This will mark New Zealand’s third visit to Pakistan since December 2022 which is a good opportunity for Pakistan players to play well in the home ground. They previously played two Tests and three ODIs in Pakistan earlier, followed by a series of ten white-ball games in April 2023, comprising five T20Is and five ODIs this time. Pakistan players are in full confidence to play the match well.
Similar to last year, this series overlaps with the Indian Premier League (IPL), which might result in the absence of some of New Zealand’s top T20 players which is a big chance for Pakistan to win the Game. Players like Daryl Mitchell, Mitchell Santner, Kane Williamson, Rachin Ravindra, Trent Boult, Glenn Phillips, and Lockie Ferguson are all contracted to IPL teams this season. The series’ timing, shortly after the holy month of Ramzan and the Eid holidays, allows for games to be scheduled at their usual time of 7 pm local time hopefully. However, due to the late timing necessitated by Ramzan, the final few matches of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) will start at 9 pm. This is done due to the holy month of Ramazan.
