The plan was to exploit the pitch by bowling with pace which was shown by the bowler Naseem Shah, as it allowed the ball to come onto the bat nicely but the situation in the pitch was changing ball by ball. Initially, we assessed it as a 190-200 run wicket. Despite the opponent’s strong performance, our bowling tightened in the final five overs which was a good point for our team to come back in the match. While we felt they fell short by about 15 runs, they still bowled effectively at that moment of the match. The wicket offered good conditions for batting that why we did the best run on that pitch, emphasizing the importance of staying focused and playing each ball on its merit which has been decided before the match.
Haider Ali’s exceptional innings were pivotal in our successful chase. With the support of players like Faheem and Naseem, we believed that playing out the full 20 overs would give us a great chance of victory at the end.
